NEW SECURITY FEATURE: New security measures have been implemented to give your CSU Eagle account greater protection. Currently, in the password reset kiosk (website), upon entering your valid UserName, you will be presented with a screen that will present 3 questions and expects your response. At the bottom of this screen, you will also see the following message...

Incomplete Security Profile -- You have to add 2 questions of your choice.

..and you must create "your own (personal)" two security questions and responses in the following screen. Since, you are the creator of the questions and responses, this set up provides an additional level of security and will ensure that you are the only one who has access to your account. After you set up your two questions and responses, the next time you use the password reset website to change your password, one of your "personal" questions will be randomly selected for you to answer.

Dos/Don'ts when Creating Your (Personal) Security Questions and Answers:
  • Remember that the verification process is case sensitive, meaning that you need to remember whether you created your response in upper, lower or mixed case. Eg: If one of your question was “Color of my car?” and the response you set up was either "Red" or "RED" or “red”, then you need to enter it exactly the same in the future
  • Prepare to create two questions and responses, and DO NOT share the responses with anyone
  • Make sure your answers are something you can easily remember
  • There is no minimum length for your answers, but you should choose an answer that is difficult to guess.
Enter your answers carefully as you will need to supply exactly the same answer the next time you are prompted with one of your security questions.


Single Password for Network and EagleLINKS Access:

Important Update: Students and employees now use a single UserName and Password for Network (access to share drives), E-Mail, and EagleLINKS systems that previously required separate UserName and Password(s). Blackboard Forgotten Password Your password for Blackboard is the same as the password that you use to log in to the Coppin network, email and EagleLINKS.

Log onto:
https://eaglebb.coppin.edu/. You can also go to www.coppin.edu, click "Academic Programs" and then "Blackboard Accounts".
  1. Enter your username and password - (First Time Users - click "Forgot password?", located under the password box to set your BlackBoard password. This will also change your EagleLINKS, CSU email, and network password).
  2. If your password does not work, click "Forgot password?" (Located under the Password box)
  3. You will be redirected to the password reset web site where you will be able to change your Blackboard password. PLEASE NOTE: Changing your Blackboard password will also change the password you use to log in to EagleLINKS, CSU email and the network.
  4. Log in to Blackboard using your new password.
Course Catalog To get to the online course catalog, from the EagleLINKS homepage menu (http://eaglelinks.coppin.edu), click on "Course Catalog". Then use the "Course Catalog" button to open the class search page in a new window.

  1. Select the institution and subject area. For a list of subject areas, follow the instructions outlined below:
    1. Make sure you select the institution first then click on the magnifying glass icon beside the "Subject Area" text box.
    2. You may enter a value for the Subject Area, Description, and Academic Organization fields or leave the fields blank.
    3. Click the "Lookup" button.
    4. Click on a subject area link to select the subject area and return to the search form.

  2. Enter any other criteria if needed.
  3. Click the "Search" button to submit your search.
You can use the "Return to Search" link to search again.
Schedule of Classes To get to the online schedule of classes, from the EagleLINKS homepage menu (http://eaglelinks.coppin.edu), click on "Schedule of Classes". Then use the "Schedule of Classes" button to open the class search page in a new window.

What is the EagleLINKS Portal? The EagleLINKS Portal is your gateway to information and online services.

Students can access online registration, student records, grades, schedule of classes, transcripts, and degree progress reports.

Faculty and staff can access several systems such as Human Resources, Financials, Student Administration and Contributor Relations from a single point of access. You may also use self-service functions which allow you to maintain your emergency contact information, enter time, browse the course catalog and more.

EagleLINKS Access

Your CSU account allows you to log in to EagleLINKS. If you forget your account password, click on the "Forgot your password?" link located on the EagleLINKS Portal Sign-In page.

Forgotten Password Help If you forget your CSU account password, click on the "Forgot Password" link located on the EagleLINKS Portal Sign-In page to go to the account manager. The account manager can also be accessed by going to
https://eaglepass.coppin.edu. Please use Internet Explorer and follow the instructions below.
  1. Enter your username, then click Submit
  2. Answer the three questions:
    • BIRTHDATE - you must enter the forward slash, Ex: 01/03/1982
    • EAGLELINKS ID - this is the 7 digit number on your id card.
    • ZIP Code - use the zip code of your home address on file at Coppin State University.

  3. Choose and confirm your personal password. The requirements for your password are:
    • 8 or more characters
    • At least 1 capital letter
    • At least 1 lower case letter
    • At least 1 number
    • Please do not use your first name, last name or username.
    • Please do not reuse previous passwords.

  4. Click submit. If you receive at least one failure notification, you must re-enter your information.
Forgotten Password Help From the EagleLINKS menu, click on the "My EagleLINKS Profile" link, then select the "Change or set up forgotten password help" link. Select a question and type in your response. Then click the ok button.

Please Note:
  • Select a response that you will remember
Changing Your Password Either click on "Change My Password" on the EagleLINKS menu OR click on "My EagleLINKS Profile", then select "Change My Password". Complete the required fields and submit the form.

Network Access Your CSU account allows you to access the following network resources:
  • Your Coppin Email account - CSU official channel of communication
  • Computer Resources (computer labs, computerized classrooms, library computer resources, etc)
  • Your personal folder on H: drive (Note: floppy disks are not dependable. Students are encouraged to SAVE all documents in their personal folder, which is only accessible on campus).
  • Web Hosting Resources
Changing Your CSU Account Password:

Students may change their CSU account password online while on or off campus. The account manager can be accessed at
https://eaglepass.coppin.edu. Please use Internet Explorer and follow the instructions below.

If you need help and are on campus, please go to the Open Computer Lab, located in MC-24 & MC-25 (Grace Jacobs Bldg) and ask the lab assistant to assist you. Network Access (Faculty and staff) Your CSU account allows you to access the following network resources:
  1. Your Coppin email
  2. Computers on campus
  3. Your Personal folder or "H: drive"
  4. Web Hosting Resources
Changing Your CSU Account Password:

Faculty and staff may change their CSU account passwords on or off-campus.

The CSU Account Manager can be accessed at

Student Email Your CSU email account is the University's official channel of communication with students.

To access Coppin email, go to http://www.coppin.edu. Click "Online Email", "Students" and then "LOGIN". Enter your Username and password (Note: Your email address is your username. For example, jdoe00@student.coppin.edu).

You can also view your email through the EagleLINKS Portal.

Students, to configure the link to Microsoft Outlook, do the following:
  1. Click on the Customize button on the Email bar
  2. Under Primary Email Account, enter the following:
    1. Email UserID: student\network account name
    2. Password: Password
    3. Mailbox: network account name
    4. Number of Emails to Display: 5
  3. Click Save
Faculty and Staff Email You can access your CSU email through the EagleLINKS portal.

Employees, to configure the link to Microsoft Outlook, do the following:
  1. Click on the Customize button on the Email bar

You can also access your CSU email at
https://webmail.coppin.edu/. From the CSU homepage, click on "Technology" then "Faculty & Staff Email".

Research Port The USMAI gateway to electronic indexes, e-journals, and e-books. Use this resource to find articles, many of them full-text, from journals, magazines, and newspapers. Links to e-books are provided through the netLibrary database.

To access Research Port from within the EagleLINKS Portal:
  1. Click on Campus Systems
  2. Click on Library
  3. Click on Research Port
    For User ID, enter your bar code number (example - 21111111111111)
    For Password, enter your last name (example - Doe)
    NOTE: The first character of your last name must be in caps
  4. Click Save
This only needs to be done once. In the future, when you click on the Research Port link, you will be automatically logged into the system.
Catalog USMAI Catalog USMAI is the web-based public catalogs of the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) which includes the 14 campuses of the University System of Maryland.

To access CATALOG USMAI:
  1. Click on Campus Systems
  2. Click on Library
  3. Click on CATALOG USMAI
    For User ID, enter your bar code number (example - 21111111111111)
    For Password, enter your last name (example - Doe)
    NOTE: The first character of your last name must be in caps
  4. Click Save
This only needs to be done once. In the future, when you click on the CATALOG USMAI link, you will be automatically logged into the system.
